I gave L&D plain water, then water with a splash of juice, then even more juice in the water, then 1/2 water & 1/2 juice, then ALL juice, then formula (boy, did that tick them off) and after they were thrown from the highchair for the umpteenth time, we switched to this one:

Many weeks and trips to Target later and they finally tonight for the FIRST TIME decided they liked water with a splash of juice in cup #3! Hip Hip Hooray! I was so excited that I even took photos (but am too lazy to upload them tonight). We'll see what tomorrow brings, however! It's funny b/c I was just asking my sister Gretchen (mother of 3 cutie patooties) earlier today for advice on the topic. I'm just hoping it sticks.
Oh and big SECRET news for today--- don't tell L&D, but the wagon arrived today in a box the size of my minivan (yes, I really DO drive a minivan). I'm hoping this means the wagon is put together in some sort of fashion. But something tells me we can't be that lucky. If it's better than assembling Ikea furniture, then we're game! I think the babies will really love it. Can I call them babies after April 4th? Will I have to change it to the "toddlers"? I guess not until they can walk and that should be a little later...
OMG...I'm in the same boat....I think I'm going to have to take a second out on my house to cover the cost of all the sippy cups I've bought. What a pain! *L*
ReplyDeleteI know!! I have 4 billion sippy cups....and they like the straw cups which cost hardly anything. Ugh! lol
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, you can call them babies!!! I still do! They will always be our babies, won't they!
I must be the opposite, I need to buy more sippy cups! I think you will eventually be happy that you have all those because pretty soon they will be going through those sippy cups like they do their bottles and you won't have to wash them 10x's a day (like I do!). :)

Does the 3rd one have a rubber top? I think it's the plastic top that mine doesn't like.
