My 2nd Father's Day has come and gone and I enjoyed my day (except for LSU losing game 1 of the College World Series). K surprised me with a bicycle trailer and four helmets (Dads must set good examples) so that we (meaning I) can tow L&D behind our new bikes.

For those of you who don't know, Pops restores old/discarded bicycles and makes them better than new. When we were visiting NOLA for Christmas, he surprised K and I with two custom (LSU and Jesuit themed) bicycles. Unfortunately, two bikes, plus luggage, plus baby gear, would have been too much for United Airlines to handle, so we had to leave our new bikes in LA. Well, a few weeks ago, he surprised us and had the bikes shipped up to VA. I can't wait to hook up the trailer and take L&D around the neighborhood. They love their wagon, so they should really enjoy the trailer. So for now, it's just a waiting game for our bikes to arrive. It should be any day now, but it's like being a little kid-- rushing home to see if the giant boxes are on our porch. Nothing yet, but hopefully soon...
Yea, I'm excited to see another dad post :). Sorry your team lost but glad you had a good father's day still. That trailer looks like such fun, I hope your bikes come soon. It'll be like Christmas morning when they come.
