This weekend was a very challenging one. That's because both of our babies are really suffering from incoming teeth. I think it is worse now than it was when they first started getting them! I'm not kidding when I say that both cried ALL day yesterday, with the exception of about 1 hour while we went out to the kiddie pool. I gave them some Motrin and they were just miserable. Couldn't sleep, wanted to be rocked or held all day, then Libby couldn't sleep enough and was still grouchy.
Today started with the same thing-- just yelling in the high chair and not wanting anything. Couldn't find the Motrin fast enough! But the cleaning ladies came today, too, and they probably thought I was abusing them with all the crying!! We decided to take a ride because I needed gas and to go to the ATM. Darrell turned around their carseats this weekend since Drew is officially 20 pounds. They rode facing forward for the first time this AM and loved it. Plus a little 70's on XM radio helped, too. Drew was swaying back and forth. I could tell he wanted to dance, but just didn't feel like it. Once he started sucking his thumb, we came back home and went down for a nap. Sleep little babies, sleep. My poor little Libby and Drew. Let's hope those teeth bust on through soon!!
I feel your pain Katie, isn't teething horrible?! Hopefully they will be back to their normals selves tomorrow!
ReplyDeletePoor babies! It seems here they fuss for a few days/nights (but we use motrin at night for those nights) and then it gets a bit better. Nicholas has been wanting to be held ALL the time the last few days. He cries when you put him down. I'll take it for now since he normally likes to be down. You can alternate motrin and tylenol too.
ReplyDeletecleaning ladies?!
ReplyDeletethat sounds sooooo wonderful! : )
