The Toilet Family

Last night at bathtime, I decided to tell Libby and Drew that we have a last name, too.

Me: Your name is Drew TARDIFF. And you are Libby TARDIFF. You have 2 names- Drew and Tardiff... Drew TARDIFF. And Libby has 2 names, too- Libby and Tardiff. Libby TARDIFF.

Drew: Yeah?

Me: Yeah, that's right. I am Katie TARDIFF (they already know our first names as they call us by them often) and this is Darrell TARDIFF. We go together because we are all TARDIFF.

Drew: Taw-hih?

Me: Yes, that's right- TARDIFF. Drew TARDIFF.

Libby: Yibby. Doo (Drew).

Me: Yes, Libby TARDIFF, Drew TARDIFF. Those are your names.

Libby: Yibby Toilet, Do Toilet, Mama Toilet, Daddy Toilet

Me: {chuckle} That's right, baby. {grin}
