I have been on pins and needles hoping that we would get accepted to the preschool we want Libby and Drew to go to next year. It is really a wonderful program and many of my co-workers have sent their own children there. It is a program that is part of a church and we are not members, so we had to rely on the lottery system. I had talked to and met the director and fortunately she told me that once a twin's name is drawn, the other automatically gets in. How nice! So, I called yesterday and found out they made it in! We are so happy and Libby and Drew are so excited, too.
So, now we have to get serious about potty training because they must be trained before they arrive in September. Yikes! Drew is actually really ready and has used the potty several times already. He keeps asking for a pull up or "big boy underwear", so we're using them more and more. Libby just isn't too interested yet, and my heart breaks when she sits and sits and nothing happens, yet she still asks for an M&M (reward for pee pee or poo poo). I hate telling her no, so I'm sort of conflicted on what to do. Will that get her discouraged and want to quit??
maybe even for trying they should get an M&M and if they go they get two. If she knows she will get an M&M just for trying she might go to try more often.
