The Big Event

On Saturday, our church held "The Big Event" at our new building. It was a nice event for the community and for us to celebrate the purchase of the building and to review some of the plans for the renovation. It was a carnival-type theme with face painting, moon bounces, games, Legos to build, music, and a pig roast, too! There was a lady that rode a unicycle and did tricks for the kids. And the snowball machine was a hit, too. It was so much fun and the food was delicious. I got a few photos, but not too many since we were running all around. They even had a cake walk, but after 4 tries, we went home empty handed. Which is really a good thing for our waistlines anyway. Darrell had never heard of a cake walk. I thought that was strange. Don't you know the saying "It's a cake walk"? And I thought I was clueless about a lot of expressions/sayings!
